The trailhead of Yushan Mountain is at the Tatajia Saddle. From the Paiyun Management Station to the trailhead, it is stipulated that you cannot drive and can only walk. If you want to save this section of the road, you can take the shuttle bus service provided by Dongpu Villa. Time: 06:00-18:00, NT$100 per person per trip. The passenger shuttle service from the 108.5K entrance of Provincial Highway 18 to the Tatajia saddle (the entrance to the main peak of Yushan Trail) is still available by telephone reservation. 【Peaks of Yushan Mountain】

The peaks of Yushan include 11 consecutive peaks including the main peak of Yushan, Qianfeng, East Peak, West Peak, South Peak, North Peak, North North Peak, Lushan, East Xiaonanshan, Xiaonanshan, and Nanyushan. They are arranged in a double cross with the main peak of Yushan as the center. With the exception of Beibei Peak and Xiaonan Mountain, the rest are all famous mountains. Not only are they longed for by climbers, but the main peak of Yushan Mountain is a popular climbing route at home and abroad.

This trail is about 61.2 kilometers from the Tatajia Trailhead, with altitudes above 3,000 meters. Climbers need to have rich mountaineering knowledge, skills, physical strength, and endurance; especially the main peak of Yushan towers into the sky, and the east peak of Yushan is steep and steep. The journey to Lushan is long and extremely challenging and adventurous.

Yushan Mountain is known as the roof of Taiwan. It looks like a dragon lying on its back. The mountain is magnificent and powerful. This route winds up from the Tatajia Saddle at the end of the west edge of Yushan Mountain to the east. Along the way, you can see that the forest phase changes with altitude. You can see spruce, hemlock, fir, Yushan juniper, Yushan juniper, and Yushan in that order. Plants such as rhododendrons and many alpine grasses and flowers can be seen. They are not afraid of the harsh mountain environment and are swaying colorfully along the roadside. In addition, the ancient mountain temple on the top of the west peak, the large white wood forest and large cliffs at the foot of the mountain, the gravel slopes at the main peak wind outlet, the grass slopes of Xiaonan Mountain and the sea of ​​rhododendrons in Beian are all the characteristics of this route's landscape; at the same time, every winter in Yushan The tops of the peaks are all covered with white snow, which is breathtakingly beautiful.
